Visit a company together with AAU Career

Inhouse Days is your opportunity to get to know a company from inside. By visiting a company, you get acquainted with the employees and get answers to all your questions about the organisation. This will give you a good impression of the atmosphere and their workplace culture.

We will visit 4 companies in the Copenhagen area. You are welcome to join us for just one or all of them. By visiting different companies you can compare the atmospheres and cultures of different workplaces and you can get a better idea of the type of company in which you would like to work later.

We will visit:

What happens at the visit?

15:00-15:30 Welcome and introduction to the Danish Red Cross

15:30-17:00 Thematic booths:

At three thematic booths, Danish Red Cross (DRC) employees will present different areas of their humanitarian work. The students will have 30 minutes per booth to gain specific knowledge and ask questions before circulating to the next booth. All students will visit all booths.

  • Booth 1: DRC and Migration

Learn more about how DRC seeks to play a leading role to ensure that people are protected and included when they find themselves in situations of protracted displacement and migration as specified in the DRC 2022-2025 International Strategy.

  • Booth 2: DRC’s Response to Disasters

Hear about how the DRC responds to disasters be it natural disasters, health hazards, or conflicts. The DRC’s overall approach is to respond and lead disaster response globally where the needs are. DRC responds bilaterally together with the partner National Societies, and multilaterally through IFRC and ICRC, based on an assessment of where DRC can reach most beneficiaries and get the most impact.

  • Booth 3: DRC and Locally-led Action

Gain insight into how localisation is at the core of DRC’s International Strategy. A strong, local, civil society and local branches are key drivers for positive change, promoting local voices, civic action, engagement and representation, inclusion, dialogue – and ultimately better interventions. This booth will expand on how DRC is accountable to the people, communities, and partners that they work with and for and how they engage in locally led interventions by promoting and supporting local decision making, local leadership and local capacity.

17:00 – 17:45 Voluntary session: Guided tour and dilemma game in the DRC’s basement
