AAU Startup Grant - Supported by The Obelske Family Foundation

Aalborg University, with support from The Obelske Family Foundation, has established a grant aimed at enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem at AAU and providing startups with a financial boost at the start of their entrepreneurial journey. To be eligible for the grant, applicants must be actively enrolled in phase three of the AAU Startup Program or have successfully completed it within the past nine months.

"The AAU Startup Grant, supported by The Obelske Family Foundation", assists AAU entrepreneurs in advancing their startups to the next level and establishing sustainable businesses. Annually, AAU offers six grants of DKK 250,000 in collaboration with The Obelske Family Foundation, distributed through two application rounds: one in the summer and one in the winter. The final application round is scheduled for December 2026.

Applicants will be assessed by the following criteria:

Conviction
To which degree is the presentation convincing?
To which degree does the startup have the right team?

Validation
To which degree is the value proposition validated?

Impact
To which degree is the startup able to describe the market potential?
To which degree has the startup considered their impact on society and environment?

The Business
To which degree has the startup illustrated the basis for a business/proof of business?
